This project refurbished and restructured the Camden People’s Theatre, a much loved experimental theatre. The second phase will create a new collaborative co-working charitable space that regenerates the dilapidated council building above the theatre into a vibrant hub for local businesses, start-ups, theatre arts and the community of West Euston and Regent’s Park. The project will provide the two organisations with a clear and unambiguous identity, welcome and orientation both externally and internally and establish a clear and ‘open’ foyer space, bar and community space. Significantly improving the public realm, we will create a dynamic 7 day per week community hub that will have significant measurable impact for both the local and wider communities as well as a new outdoor social garden at the rear of the building within the unused courtyard of the residential block.
