Despite having a core following of loyal theatre goers, there are currently many seating positions that are rarely sold for reasons of cramped conditions, difficulty in passing across others in a row or too poor a view of the stage. This significantly affects the ability of this unique theatre to remain sustainable. We have submitted proposals for listed building consent that carefully reconsider the ergonomics of each seating type and location. The modifications, however minor, will significantly enhance the audience experience.
