Tallinn highlights : The Tallinn Song Festival Grounds – In 1869 Johanna Voldemar Jannsen established the Estonian Song Festival while the nation was still a province of the Russian Empire. This festival was considered responsible for fostering an Estonian national re-awakening. The raked stage can stand a choir of 15,000. During the Singling Revolution days of June 1988 up to 300,000 would gather here in protest of their Soviet occupation! The acoustics are extraordinary. #dematosryan #ontour #architecturedaily #fullhouse #singforfreedom
