Portfolio : Penrose Street: The conversion of a set painting workshop into multiple residential units required a substantial increase in fenestration to bring daylight and air into the new habitable rooms. Due to the setting adjacent to an active railway line to the East and terraced housing to the West, new windows were only possible in the front and rear facades. The new build front and rear elevations are constructed from reclaimed brick salvaged as we remodelled the end elevations and, where necessary, new heritage brickwork.
