The Grade II* Listed Gibraltar Tower dates from 1792 and lies within Heathfield Park, a private estate in the village of Heathfield, East Sussex. The site is in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The scheme will restore the ruined tower and create a discrete semi-subterranean hunting lodge sunk within the landscape to reinstate the tower as the dominant feature.
As part of the ongoing development of the estate, the lodge will provide educational facilities including courses, seminars and conferences in estate and deer management. Onsite boarding facilities will allow for residential courses to be accommodated.
